What started as a hobby soon became a way to connect animation with a whole new generation, with the idea that animation is for everyone. Animagiko is an interactive initiative created by award-winning Animator Luis Medrano to unleash creativity through the art of animation and storytelling, for children, teens an adult enthusiasts alike.

With classes available in English and Spanish, the Animagiko workshops are taught in the United States and seven countires in Latin America through public libraries, schools and private groups.

The workshops cover an introduction to hand-drawn digital animation, focusing on the twelve principles of motion and the understanding of core animation concepts like frames, layers, perspective, motion paths, scenes, camera angles and storytelling, all done using mobile devices that everyone is so familiar with, in partnership with Visual Blasters, the developers of the animation app FlipaClip.
